Belton Parks & Recreation

In 2003, a new Director of Parks and Recreation was hired in Belton, Missouri. He had inherited a department that was struggling; membership to his community center and revenue were low and still declining. Our first step was to do a master plan of the center looking for success far out into the future. Most elements of the plan have been incorporated including several phased remodeling projects and the addition of a natatorium.

Membership went off the charts as each phase was completed, giving members a fun, exciting and functional place to work out and to congregate. We also have done a city-wide parks master plan which has led to many successful completed projects including an outdoor aquatic center and a community events center. The Director has since relocated to Jefferson City and we continue to work with him as well as the new Director in Belton. We have enjoyed our 16 years working with in this community and watching their success.
